A comprehensive note submitted to Hon MOC, Respected Sh Ashwani Vaishnawj
A comprehensive note submitted to Hon MOC, Respected Sh Ashwani Vaishnawji, in reference to the D.O. letter that he has written to Respected Sh. Shanmugam, Hon MP, on the issue of our Pension Revision. Apprising Hon MOC that reply to Hon MP is based on redundant Rule 5 of Rule 37 CCS Pension Rules 2021 and does not taken into consideration the crucial decision of the Union Cabinet taken in the year 2000 which clearly envisages that "DOT Emoyees taking absorption in BSNL/ MTNL shall be fully treated at par with other Central Govt. Employees in all respects"
Further apprising Hon MOC that decision of the Union Cabinet taken in the year 2000, which is being blatantly violated now, and on the basis of which DOT employees exclusively took absorption in BSNL/ MTNL, constitues serious and gross breach of trust and confidence that DOT Employees reposed in the decision of the Union Cabinet taken at the time of absorption. But for this decision of the Union Cabinet, DOT Employees would have never ever thought of taking absorption in BSNL/ MTNL
Finally, urging upon MOC to direct the concerned officers in DOT to work out an appropriate mechanism for pension Revision and not to allow concerned officers trample over the crucial decision of the Union Cabinet that constituted the fulcrum for DOT Employees to take absorption in BSNL/ MTNL.
Also requesting Secy(T) that concerned officers be directed to place facts in their entirety and not to suppress crucial facts while responding to pleadings of the law makers regarding our Pension Revision.
Had a detailed discussion with Honble MP, Respected Sh. Shanmugam, apprising him of the facts in their totality. While fully agreeing to our view point, Hon MP mentioned that he will pursue the matter further and asked me to definitely meet him at Delhi during monsoon session of Parliament. This Association is going to meet a good number of MPs during the ensuing monsoon session of Parliament on the issue of Pension Revision and requesting their effective intervention for resolution of our legitimate issue.
